Silicone hose heat resistant with AS1072 aviation specification
Insultherm FI Aero is made of tightly woven fiberglass and a strong layer of self-extinguishing, high-temperature silicone rubber, which can withstand prolonged temperatures of 250 degrees Celsius and incandescent metal splashes of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius.
Almost every aircraft engine, from turbine to turboprop and piston engine, both civil and military, uses the Insultherm FI Aero to protect hoses and cables in the event of a fire. Insultherm FI Aero fulfills the AS1072 specifications, allowing hoses and cables to pass the fire prevention test AS1055D. A useful accessory for a perfect installation is our silicone tape. This is ideal for high-temperature jackets in the (automotive) industry and shipping.
